A New Beginning

Welcome to our newly redesigned website. New beginnings are always refreshing and exciting -- and I see this as an excellent opportunity to begin a real dialogue with our current supporters and new friends about what we're doing here at Disarm, and why.

A few of the topics I might discuss include:

  • Where our programs in Cuba, Colombia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua are heading
  • The latest Latin American foreign policy developments here in the U.S.
  • The elations and frustrations of working in the front lines of an effort for peaceful change.

Bob Schwartz has been actively involved in providing humanitarian aid to countries in need for more than 30 years. He has been involved in the formation of several non-profit organizations and successfully recruited many well known and highly respected professionals to lead those efforts. He has raised tens of millions of dollars for medical aid to Central America and the Caribbean.
